Perhimpunan Mahasiswa Islam Malaysia se Indonesia, Cibubur

24 - 26 Disember 2011 - Alhamdulillah, saya menerima jemputan daripada Persatuan Kebangsaan Pelajar Malaysia di Indonesia (PKPMI) untuk menjadi salah seorang speaker dan tetamu bagi program tahunan terbesar mereka iaitu, Perhimpunan Mahasiswa Islam Malaysia se Indonesia (PERMAI) 2010. Pada saya, ianya merupakan satu privilasi dan keseronokan berukhuwwah apabila berpeluang berjumpa dan berkenalan dengan 200 orang pelajar Malaysia yang menyertai dan datang dari 10 provinsi di Indonesia iaitu dari Bandung, Jogjakarta, Makasar, Palembang, Jambi, Pekan Bharu, Surabaya, Malang, Solo dan Jakarta sendiri. Dalam masa yang sama, PERMAI kali ini menemukan saya dengan sahabat lama, Ustaz Hasrizal yang menjadi speaker bagi kali ketiga di PERMAI. Sembang-sembang kami juga selain pada hal ehwal diri dan keluarga yang terkini, tetap menyelitkan kisah-kisah nostalgia semasa di Jordan. Alhamdulillah, sambutan perkongsian ilmu bersama rakan-rakan pelajar sentiasa memberikan saya kekuatan untuk lebih berkhidmat dan menyumbang setakat termampu. Saya doakan semoga rakan-rakan pelajar beroleh sukses di dunia dan di akhirat. Kami di Malaysia menantikan khidmat bakti anda InsyaAllah.

Happy 14th birthday to our 2nd, Jihad Wajdi

22 Dec - To our dearest angah @ Jihad Wajdi, happy 14th birthday. we celebrated his birthday at Jakarta and thank you for being a good son. I always remembered that early morning, at 1.00 am, when I drove ummi from our house at Taman Samudra to Pusrawi Jalan Ipoh Kuala Lumpur. having you in our arms at that time, was indeed a bless from Allah. All the best to you, angah :)

Le Q's first flight

Praise be to Allah, I managed to bring the whole family, including my parents to Indonesia. As I"m attending an official event with Malaysian students there, I thought that it would be a great idea to bring along my family. I did bring them along the week before to Singapore. As for Umaier @ Le Q, this was his first flight experience :) The first destination was Jakarta, then Bandung. Thanks to Mr Ludinata, our Education Attache at EM Jakarta for his tremendous hospitality throughout.

Sesi berbasikal bersama famili

2 Jan 12 - Alhamdulillah, berpeluang bersama famili hampir setengah hari di Taman Wetland, Putrajaya. Aktiviti yang dipilih ialah berbasikal. Suasana yang tenang, damai dan hijau menjadi aset terbaik bagi sesiapa yang ingin ke sini. Selain itu, tempat-tempat perkelahan untuk famili disediakan.

Halaqah, Akar Tradisi Ilmu

20 Dec 2011 - As one of the two moderators for Halaqah TV9, it's my turn to chair the session this week. The topic, 'Bil Terakhir', allowed me to meet Ustaz Riduan as the main panelist and of course, Ustaz Tarmizi as the Qari.

This time around, the whole family were there at the studio, and they're watching the live Halaqah program, 'live' at Sri Pentas :) I believe the motivation came from Munir, my fourth, who first accompanied me to the set back in November. we even had our dinner at Sri Pentas Cafe. I've started my attachment with medias, TV and radio of various channels since 1999 and the family will normally stay at home and watch it on TV. I believe it's time to bring them along to the set, whenever I have the chance to do it, as it will be an exposure for them and they'll get to know what and how exactly any TV programs are conducted. Who knows, they might seat on one of the chairs in the future :)

I was scheduled to chair the next week Halaqah, the last for 2011, but due to my schedule in Jakarta, my colleague, ustaz Badlishah will take over. May Allah bless this tiny effort with his ultimate and unlimited rewards. Ameen.

Forum Invitation, Masjid al Istiqamah, Singapore

17 Dec - Thanks a million to my old friend, Sohibus Samahah Ustaz Dr Md Fatris Bataram, Mufti Negara Singapura, for the invitation. The last time I went to Singapore was in 2005, before going to UK, where I was also invited to deliver talks at several mosques and places in Singapore. Thanks to Ustaz Taufiq as well ,the Executive Imam of the mosque for the hospitality given throughout.
The forum started right after Isya' prayer and having me and Dr Fatris as panelists, we shared with the audience on the topic given 'Transformasi Islah'. Praise be to Allah, things went well and smooth.
I've also invited to deliver subuh talk at the same mosque in the next morning. apart from that, this visit to Singapore was intended for ziarah our relatives. I have quite a number of them but for this trip, we only managed to cover only Serangoon and Woodlands. Thanks to Uncle As'at, yantie and family for the tremendous hospitality, as always, given to us.
