Akhil Kareem, La Taquulu Wada'an

01 March 09 - It was just few days ago that I've received many texts from my ex office mates back in Malaysia, telling that he has passed away. Al Marhum Ustaz Md. Noor Yaakub was the Education Attache at Malaysian Students Department in Cairo Egypt, for more than 4 years. I still remember his kindness and attentiveness assisting one of my working visit to Egypt in 2004, and we he completed his service there, he was then posted to our department, the MES, in the MOE. As the Head of Unit, he's more like a brother than a leader. A person who was too polite to direct people in one way communication, rather he consulted everybody as a team, every time we're up to any tasks given. He was the one who introduced to me what is MSD is all about, what is working in MSD is really looks like, and continuously sharing his experience and memories, from good to the best and from bad to the worst, while working there. One day, where it all started, in 2006, he came to my office with a set of papers in his hand, and he said; Here you go, you have to fill these forms, as I know you deserve it. I had my days, and I want you to experience it yourself because I know you're the right person for it. Without having contacting anybody else, neither telling nor mentioning to others, I filled it up due to my respect to him, and his effort of getting the normal application form. And for all I know, Allah knows best, things went well stages by stages, and later on that year, here I am in UK. To my elder brother Ustaz Md. Noor Yaakub, La'allallaha yafsahu laka maqoomaka hunaaka, rodhiyatan mardhiyyatan fi fasiihi jinaanihi, Minas solihin wal ma'jurin. La taquulu wada'an, bal quulu ilal liqo', in lam takun fauqo ath thara, fabijannati robbi as samaa'i. Al Fatihah
