Majlis Khatam al Quran @ MSD

31 Ogos 2010 - As we've reached the last few pages of the Holy Quran yesterday, we thought that it would be good to proceed with a small and simple event upon the completion of the recital. The magnificent feeling of having ourselves completing the tadarus is utterly expressed and shown on the faces who regularly attended the daily tadarus session. It's been a great session and praise be to Allah, we managed to complete the tadarus even quicker this year, compared to what we had in the last four years. One of the factors was that, since maghrib is quite late, we had an ample time before the break fasting to have the tadarus. We even managed to fill in between iftar and Isya' prayer with another short extension tadarus session. My special thanks to my wife, Ustazah Anis Badiah for the input throughout the tadarus, especially when it comes to rulings of tajwid. I extend my appreciation to our great lads - Famy, Nik, Abdullah, Huzaifah, Amiruddin, Izzaldeen, Asrun for their strong participation and kind assistance. Not forgetting my colleagues, our community members, my MSD colleagues, for the enthusiast and support all the way. Hj. Zainal and family, Hj. Kamal and family, Anwar, Marzuki, Kak Jameela, just to name a few, and each and one of them. Thanks to our sponsors and caterers for their willingness to ensure that our daily Iftar session runs accordingly and sufficiently. We even had our 'own' espresso machine (belongs to Kak Zaharah actually - kakteh.blogspot.com). Our special thanks to HE Datuk Zakaria Sulong, our High Commissioner for his participation in our tadarus session. Thanks to all and indeed, it's been a pleasure conducting the tadarus session for the past four years. Allah is Great !
